Through my long time study of Aesthetic Realism; founded by poet and critic Eli Siegel, I came to discover that the Montessori philosophy of educaton is very aligned with my values and beliefs.. Mr. Siegel said that: "The purpose of education is to like the world through knowing it." I see first hand every day that Acorn faculty introduce children to the world and help them self-construct their bond with nature, knowledge and skills, and passions. Outside of school, I enjoy reading, watching films, cooking and traveling. My favorite quote by Dr. Montessori is: “There must be provision for the child to have contact with nature; to understand and appreciate the order, the harmony and the beauty in nature.”
